We need YOU!
Swings and Roundabouts is looking for mums or dads across Canada who like to visit playgrounds, enjoy writing, have a camera and who would like to volunteer themselves to a community project. Our aim is to have several bloggers in each major city who will be dedicated to capturing the playgrounds in their area, and bringing them to life in personality-filled, family-friendly writing. For examples of the kind of reviews that we're looking for, see the pages below.

The reviews work best when readers can get to know the writer a bit, which is why we want people who are excited by the project and who are able to commit to multiple playgrounds.
Swings and Roundabouts does not generate any income - therefore all positions are voluntary - but it’s a great introduction to blogging and writing for a family audience on the internet. Additionally, each writer will get a bio-page with links to their own websites or blogs. The playground reviews are intended to be a community resource and therefore there is no plan to feature adverts - currently, the only sponsors are for competition prizes.
If you have the time and energy to be one of our bloggers, please send a brief bio (including your location) and a sample review to Eleanor at victoriablog@yahoo.ca. Details about what to include in your reviews are laid out on our submission pages and you should use the sample review to showcase your writing style and the personality that you would bring to the project.
